"By their very design, non-original abutments often don’t take full advantage of the length of the abutment chamber within the implant. Compared to a Straumann component, they might only reach half the distance into the implant. With anchorage being only half as deep, the risk of micro movement is increased due to the permanent exposure to intra-oral chewing forces. In my opinion, this shortens the life expectancy of the restoration, the abutment and the implant."
