The Straumann Dental Implant System offers restorative doctors and patients a clear and effective portfolio of prosthetic options for all indications and price segments.

For implant restorations, there are three different platform diameters available:

  • Narrow Neck:
    The Standard Plus Implant with a 3.5 mm Narrow Neck (NN) restorative platform (Standard Plus Implant with a built-in octa abutment for single-tooth restorations)
  • Regular Neck:
    Implants of all implant lines with a 4.8 mm Regular Neck (RN) restorative platform
  • Wide Neck:
    Implants of all implant lines with a 6.5 mm Wide Neck (WN) restorative platform

Depending on the implant type and/or indication, various options are available to the dentist and also to the dental technician:

  • The Narrow Neck prosthetic system:
    These prosthetic parts specifically developed for the Standard Plus Narrow Neck Implant for the safe and esthetic restoration of gaps with limited space.
  • The synOcta® prosthetic system for Regular and Wide Neck:
    This unique combination of taper and octagon unites proven anti-loosening protection with exact repositionability. Parts are available for both cement and screw-retained restorations.
  • The Solid Abutment system for Regular and Wide Neck:
    The proven system for cement-retained crown and bridge constructions.

Indications:

  • Narrow Neck prosthetic system:
    Single tooth replacement of the upper lateral incisors and lower lateral and central incisors
  • synOcta® prosthetic system for Regular and Wide Neck:
    All indications for crown and bridge techniques
  • Solid abutment system for Regular and Wide Neck:
    Cemented crown and bridge restorations

2 Morse taper connection For uniform load distribution and reliable stable implant-to-abutment connections preventing rotation and screw-loosening

3 45° shoulder For an optimal fit between implant and prosthesis to minimize the microgap

4 Standardized tightening torque All abutments are fixed in the implant with 35 Ncm and occlusal screws with 15 Ncm

(the Narrow Neck occlusal screw requires a tightening torque of 35 Ncm)
5 SCS screw system Screw Carrying System: self-holding screw head system with standardized screwdriver (torque principle) for prevention of aspiration(except with transversal screw fixation)
