Healing caps & closure screws
The Straumann® Dental Implant System offers healing caps and closure screws for effective soft tissue management independent of the selected surgical procedure.
Transgingival healing
The healing caps and closure screws lead to an exact apposition of the surrounding soft tissue with simultaneous shaping of the gingival funnel.
By using taller healing caps, transgingival healing is obtained even with implant shoulders in a subgingival position.
Semi-submerged healing
Labially beveled healing caps facilitate the exact approximation of the soft tissue over the healing cap providing the base for further soft tissue management.
Submerged healing
For submerged healing the closure screws are particularly recommended. Due to their small size they allow the optimal healing of implants beneath closed gingival tissue.
